जब हम प्लास्टिक सर्जरी का नाम सुनते हैं तो ज्यादातर लोगों को लगता है कि ये एक ऐसी प्रक्रिया है जिसमें व्यक्ति के बाहरी रंग-रूप और बनावट को बेहतर बनाया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए- नोज जॉब (नाक की सर्जरी), ब्रेस्ट ऑगमेंटेशन (स्तन की वृद्धि), टमी टक (पेट कम करवाना) आदि। ये सभी कॉस्मेटिक सर्जरी हैं जो प्लास्टिक सर्जरी का एक अहम हिस्सा हैं लेकिन प्लास्टिक सर्जरी का मतलब सिर्फ इस तरह की सर्जरी ही नहीं है।
प्लास्टिक सर्जरी में रीकंस्ट्रक्टिव यानी पुनर्निर्माण सर्जरी भी शामिल होती है। इन सर्जरियों के माध्यम से चेहरे और शरीर पर दिखने वाली कई तरह की त्रुटियों का समाधान किया जा सकता है। उदाहरण के लिए- जन्मजात दोष जैसे- कटे-फटे होंठ, हथेली में अतिरिक्त उंगली या फिर शरीर पर जलने के निशान कैंसर या टोसिस (ptosis) जैसी समस्याओं के लिए की जाने वाली सर्जरी। कई बार प्लास्टिक सर्जरी की मदद से शरीर की कई क्रियाओं को भी फिर से पहले जैसा करने में मदद मिलती है। उदाहरण के लिए- अगर दुर्घटना के बाद हाथ या पैर में कोई विकृति या विकलांगता आ जाए तो प्लास्टिक सर्जरी की मदद से उस विकृति को दूर कर शरीर के उस हिस्से के कार्य करने के तरीके को फिर से पहले जैसा किया जा सकता है

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी के प्रकार

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी मुख्य दो 2 तरह की होती है:-

1. पुनर्निर्माण सर्जरी

पुनर्निर्माण या रीकंस्ट्रक्टिव सर्जरी इसलिए की जाती है ताकि चेहरे या शरीर के किसी क्षतिग्रस्त हिस्से की मरम्मत कर उसकी कार्य करने की क्षमता को जहां तक संभव हो फिर से पहले की तरह बनाया जा सके। आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी कि पुनर्निर्माण सर्जरी किसी भी कॉस्मेटिक प्रक्रिया से कहीं ज्यादा कॉमन है। हालांकि यह भी सच है कि पुनर्निर्माण सर्जरी के माध्यम से भी व्यक्ति का बाहरी रंग-रूप बेहतर हो जाता है। जैसे -
जन्मजात समस्याएं जैसे- कटा हुआ तालू, कटा-फटा होंठ, बर्थमार्क को हटवाना, कान से जुड़ी त्रुटियों को सही करना, चेहरे से जुड़ी त्रुटियां और हाथ से जुड़ी विकृतियां जिसमें बच्चा अतिरिक्त उंगली या अतिरिक्त अंग के साथ पैदा होता है।

2. कॉस्मेटिक सर्जरी

कॉस्मेटिक सर्जरी मुख्य रूप से व्यक्ति के सौंदर्य और आकर्षण को बेहतर बनाने के लिए की जाती है। इसमें कई तरह की प्रक्रियाएं शामिल हैं जैसे- नाक को पुनःआकार देना, स्तन में वृद्धि करना, स्तन के साइज को कम करना, किसी निश्चित जगह से अनचाहे बालों को हटवाना और शरीर के किसी हिस्से से अतिरिक्त फैट को हटवाना। कॉस्मेटिक सर्जरी में शरीर के किसी हिस्से को इस तरह से पुनःआकार दिया जाता है।

इन अंगों के लिए की जाती है प्लास्टिक सर्जरी

आंख की प्लास्टिक सर्जरी - इस सर्जरी से हम आंख के आस-पास की त्वचा को हटाने के लिए करते हैं। इससे आंख की सुंदरता बढ़ती है।
ब्रेस्ट एनहांसमेंट प्लास्टिक सर्जरी - कभी-कभी महिलाएं ब्रेस्ट के साइज से खुश नहीं रहती हैं। प्लास्टिक सर्जरी से ब्रेस्ट संतुलित होता है और अच्छा दिखता है।
लिप प्लास्टिक सर्जरी - लिप प्लास्टिक सर्जरी ज्यादा चलन में है। अधिकांश समय हम देखते हैं कि कुछ लोग अपने पतले लिप से खुश नहीं होते हैं। तब सर्जरी कराकर होंठों को बेहतर रूप दे सकते हैं।
लेज़र हेयर रिमूवल - इस सर्जरी से शरीर पर मौजूद अनचाहे बालों को हटा सकते हैं।
लिपोसक्शन सर्जरी - इस सर्जरी से शरीर में जमा अतिरिक्त वसा कम किया जाता है। मोटापे से ग्रसित लोग इस प्रकार की सर्जरी करवाते हैं।

क्यों सामान्य सर्जरी से महंगी है यह क्रिया

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी एक महंगी प्रक्रिया है। यह अनुवांशिक विकार व जन्मजात विकार को समाप्त करने में उपयोगी होता है। प्लास्टिक सर्जरी कराने की औसतन लागत 5 लाख से 50 लाख तक या इससे ज्यादा खर्च हो सकता है। प्लास्टिक सर्जरी करवाने में बहुत ही अधिक पैसा खर्च होता है। आज के दौर में आम आदमी इसे नहीं करवा सकते हैं। इसके अलावा इसमें काफी समय लगता है और आपको अपने काम से काफी छुट्टी लेनी पड़ सकती है। इसके कुछ दिन बाद तक भी आपको काफी केयर करना होता है। प्लास्टिक सर्जरी एक ऐसी मेडिकल प्रक्रिया है, जो आपको सुंदर दिखाने के लिए आपकी शरीर की बनावट को बदल सकता है।

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी करवाने के फायदे -

अक्सर जीवन में होने वाली दुर्घटनाओं से व्यक्ति का आत्मविश्वास काफी कम हो जाता है। इस स्थिति में वह काफी हताश हो जाता है।

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी को मुख्य रूप से चेहरे के आस-पास के अंगों जैसे आंख, कान, नाक, होठ इत्यादि पर की जाती है।
प्लास्टिक सर्जरी की सहायता से चेहरे पर पड़ी झुरियों, निशानों इत्यादि को ठीक किया जाता है।

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी करवाने के नुकसान-

प्लास्टिक सर्जरी एक महंगी सर्जरी है, इसलिए इस सर्जरी को मध्यम वर्गीय व्यक्ति के लिए कराना काफी मुश्किल होता है।
प्लास्टिक सर्जरी की वजह से कई बार इसके कारण उस अंग की मांसपेशियां खराब हो जाती है।
कई बार प्लास्टिक सर्जरी के दौरान दी जाने वाली दवाई का व्यक्ति की सेहत पर दुष्प्रभाव पड़ जाता है।
प्लास्टिक सर्जरी के निशान समय के साथ ठीक हो जाते हैं, लेकिन कई बार ऐसा भी देखा गया है कि कुछ लोगों में ये निशान काफी लंबे समय तक बने रहते हैं।
