Measures to increase eyesight will no longer be the need of eye glasses

Nowadays most of the working people spend in front of the screen. Working on a computer laptop, spending more time on mobile, watching TV at home are really important things now due to which there is a lot of pressure on your eyes. Because of this, nowadays the eyesight of even small children becomes weak. Proper care of your eyes is essential for the good health of your eyes. Moisture, nutrition, and regular exercise keep your eye health and vision better.

Eyes are related to eating

What you eat is closely related to your eyes. Eating things rich in Vitamin A keeps your eye health fine. Along with this, you should also include food containing vitamins C, E, copper, and zinc, etc. in your habit. You can eat carrots, eggs, pumpkins, leafy vegetables, and sweet potatoes, etc. If you eat non-veg, then fish can be very beneficial for your eyes.

There are exercises for the eyes too

Eyes also have muscles and you can do exercises to keep them fit. If you do eye exercises in the morning or at night while sleeping, then much better results can be obtained from it. If you do this type of exercise continuously for a month, then you can see its best results. First, cover the eye with your palm. After this, do the exercises mentioned for the eye muscles.

Enough sleep is essential

Sometimes rest is not enough for your eyes. Just as your body needs regular rest, the eyes also need rest. When your body gets enough rest, your eyes also get ready to work afresh. Even a little break in between long working hours is a must for your eyes.

Eyes are related to the body too

If you do full-body exercise for at least 20 minutes daily, then it also affects your eyes. If the flow of blood in your body is fast, then it benefits your eyes. Due to this, the harmful substances present in the eye muscles come out. Keep in mind that it is not necessary to exercise too much stress on the body.

Give rest to the eye

It is also the right step to give your eyes a few seconds' rests in between work. You can do this once in an hour for five seconds. If your job involves sitting in front of the computer or studying all the time, then closing your eyes in between will give you a lot of relief. You may find it strange to hear this, but by doing so, the load on your eyes will be less and they will remain healthy for a long time.

create the right environment

Many things present around us can prove to be harmful for our eyes. Sitting for long periods in front of the computer, water getting into the eyes of the swimming pool, low voltage bulbs while studying, fluorescent lights, etc. are some of the things that damage your eyes. You should not keep such things around you.

Sunscreen Myths and Facts Everything You Need to Know

Introduction

Sunscreen is one of the most recommended skincare essentials by dermatologists worldwide, yet it is also one of the most misunderstood. From confusing SPF numbers to myths about needing sunscreen only on sunny days, there’s a lot of misinformation circulating online and offline. Once you understand what sunscreen really does, it’s easier to protect your skin, keep that fresh, healthy look, prevent sunburn, and lower the chances of skin cancer.

This guide takes the mystery out of sunscreen. We’ll clear up common myths, share the real facts, and show you how to pick and use sunscreen with confidence — whether you’re a skincare pro or just starting to take sun protection seriously.

Why Sunscreen Matters

Sunscreen acts as a shield that helps block or absorb the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. UV rays come in two main forms:

UVA rays: These penetrate deeply into the skin and are largely responsible for premature aging, wrinkles, and skin damage.

UVB rays: These cause sunburn and play the biggest role in the development of skin cancers.

By using sunscreen every day, you’re guarding your skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays — a small habit that plays a big role in long-term skin health.

Common Myths About Sunscreen (and the Facts Behind Them)

Myth 1: You Only Need Sunscreen on Sunny Days

Fact: UV rays can penetrate clouds, windows, and even clothing. Up to 80% of UV rays reach the earth’s surface on cloudy days, which means your skin is still exposed even when the weather looks gloomy. Wearing sunscreen daily—rain or shine—ensures consistent protection.

Myth 2: Darker Skin Doesn’t Need Sunscreen

Fact: While higher melanin levels in darker skin provide some natural protection, they don’t make anyone immune to UV damage. Darker skin tones can still develop hyperpigmentation, premature aging, and skin cancer. Everyone, regardless of skin tone, benefits from wearing sunscreen.

Myth 3: Higher SPF Equals Unlimited Protection

Fact: SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures how well a sunscreen protects against UVB rays, but higher isn’t always dramatically better.

  1. SPF 30 blocks about 97% of UVB rays.
  2. SPF 50 blocks about 98%.
  3. SPF 100 blocks about 99%.

No sunscreen blocks 100% of UV rays, and higher SPF doesn’t mean you can stay in the sun longer without reapplying. Reapplication every two hours (or after swimming/sweating) is key.

Myth 4: Makeup With SPF Is Enough

Fact: Foundation or BB cream containing SPF usually provides less protection than advertised because most people don’t apply enough. To get the SPF listed, you’d need to apply a much thicker layer than typical makeup use allows. Always apply a dedicated sunscreen underneath your makeup for full protection.

Myth 5: Sunscreen Causes Vitamin D Deficiency

Fact: Studies show that normal sunscreen use has minimal impact on vitamin D levels. Your body needs very little sun exposure to produce vitamin D, and incidental sun exposure from daily activities usually suffices. Plus, vitamin D can also be obtained through diet and supplements. Protecting your skin should take priority.
