Indians are known for their fondness for tea, and in winters it becomes a habit for many. There are many benefits of tea. There are mainly five types of tea based on the oxidation level. In common parlance, the less oxidized the tea is, the milder and better the taste and aroma.

White tea: 

This is the least processed form of tea, which gives a great taste and aroma. It is rich in antibacterial properties and is helpful in reducing cholesterol and blood pressure. Due to its low caffeine content, it is the best option for those who are watching their caffeine intake.

For those who want to lose weight, mix one teaspoon white leaf, half teaspoon ginger powder, and a few drops of lemon and consume it for 15 days, then promising results will be seen. Due to its high phenol content, it strengthens elastin and collagen, thereby preventing wrinkles and treating acne.

Black tea: 

This tea reduces the risk of heart disease and reduces the level of diabetes. Ideal for those with oily skin, black tea helps to unclog pores, freshen up the skin and bring a natural and radiant glow to your face.


Green tea: 

Being rich in anti-oxidants, it proves to help reduce cholesterol and help healthy cells grow faster.

By adding sugar to it, it can also be used as a face scrub to remove the dead cells of the face. It is a great toner, which helps to unclog the clogged pores. It is also a good option to reduce swelling around the eyes. It can also be used to clean the hair and keep it healthy.

To get the most out of green tea, avoid adding milk, sugar, cream, and even honey to it. Mix a teaspoon of fresh leaves in boiling water and drink it after keeping it for 2 to 3 minutes. Two to three cups of it can be consumed daily.

Rooibos / Herbal Tea: 

Herbal tea does not contain caffeine and is low in tannins. It has cancer-fighting properties and is also beneficial in skin allergies.

To use it as a natural gentle cleanser, first, boil the tea, cool it, and then apply it to the face. Let it dry for 10 minutes and then wash off. This tea reduces freckles, blemishes, acne, inflammation on your skin.

Oolong Tea: 

Oolong tea is rich in antioxidants. It is also a major source of calcium, manganese, potassium, copper, and selenium. It is helpful in controlling weight and preventing tooth decay.

It keeps the skin healthy and fair complexion. People who suffer from eczema and want glowing, glowing skin are advised to drink two to three cups of oolong tea. It reduces dark spots and wrinkles. It is an effective sunscreen and toner.
